how I work
My name is Madeleine and I am an Integrative counsellor. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy, to tailor my work to the unique needs of each individual.
My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, respect, and a deep understanding of the complexities of the human experience. I offer online therapy on video call or phone call.
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) this means I adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice, by which you are protected. For further information please visit the BACP website.

Therapies I use
Person-Centered Therapy
Creating a safe space to allow clients to explore their feelings, thoughts and behaviours. Focusing on self-awareness and personal growth to help them reach their full potential.
Transactional Analysis (TA)
Examines communication and relationship patterns, helping clients understand and improve their interactions with others.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Helps clients identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviours, while encouraging practical strategies to manage challenges through collaboration..
Gestalt Therapy
Concentrates on present experiences and feelings, using creative techniques to enhance self-awareness and understanding.
Psychodynamic Therapy
Explores how past experiences, unconscious thoughts, and patterns of behaviours influence current issues promoting deep emotional insight.
